2015-07-28 From Central Square NY to State College PA
We were so much longing for European food that we went to a Japanese restaurant. We were in food heaven.
A quick stop at the visitor center in Pennsylvania.
There are lots of wineries.
I was much happier to drive on these small roads than on the 80 and 81 big ones that we took when we went north.
Wine on the west side of the Finger Lake.
Arvid and I left Central Square in the morning and our first stop was Waterloo Premium Outlet on road 318. Not much shopping today. We continued to Geneva and then went south on the west shore of the one of the Finger Lakes called the Finger Lake. Beautiful drive with many wineries. Since we had some bad experience from the taste of the wine last time we did not stop at any winery today.
At the southern part of the lake there is a national park called Watkins Glen with a beautiful walk along the gorge. However, we decided not to do it today.
